Laura McKowen – The Bigger Yes

Posted on June 12, 2023 by Kristina Krump
Laura McKowen is the bestselling author of We Are The Luckiest: The Surprising Magic of a Sober Life and Push Off From Here: 9 Essential Truths to Get You Through Sobriety (and Everything Else) which was released earlier this year. Laura is the Founder of The Luckiest Club, an international sobriety support community, and has been published in The New York Times, and her work has been featured in The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, the TODAY show, and more. She lives outside Boston with her daughter and fiancé.

Sobriety is largely viewed as a No: to drinking alcohol, to old behaviors, and often to many aspects of a “normal” life. While the No is a necessary part of recovery, it’s only half of the equation.

In this session, Laura will share her journey from the final no to what she calls The Bigger Yes-the unique purpose and joy that exists within each person and how sobriety is an invitation to access it.
